Does anyone have or has anyone used glenwood manifolds and risers, they seem to be the only manifolds i can find for my boat (in aluminum). If i cant find any used i am thinking about getting these. So what do yall think of them??
OOOOR if you know of anything else for 289 ford rear exit log and riser let me know (new or used).

Slamdry....

Glenwood exhaust and risers work VERY WELL with my sbc 350. My only complaint is water routing, I would suggest a cam driven water pump set up that will eliminate the headache.

Mine are wellover 10 plus years old and have only been used in fresh water.

Hope that helps,

KJ

i would to find a used set becuse the news will be like $930 + shipping, not bad seeing the others i have seen were going to be like $1500.

Were can i find a cam driven pump, roughly how much are they, and how hard are they to installl??

Any type of log manifold is about the worst you can use performance-wise, but that being said, I've had Glenwoods on my 16C for 18yrs and internally they still look great. I use mine in fresh and salt. The only complaint I have is they are a PITA to keep a good exhaust seal. From day one I have never been able to get more than 1/2 a season without developing a small leak. That's not a swipe at Glenwood as I'm sure I'd have the same problem with any aluminum log manifold. It's difficult to get proper bolt torque due to the limited room.

im not looking for a huge performance gain, i want to lighten up the back of the boat.

Brian,
I just went thru this as my original H&M logs failed . .in an expensive way but that's another story for another time.

If you are looking to trim weight, switch to an aluminum intake and pick a set of center riser manifolds . . the additional power will make up for the few extra pounds . . search the internet, there are several sources for the SBF.

I elected to go with a set of CMI tubular headers for my 302 Ford.

do you think there is enough room under the hood for a center rise manifold, i mean its tight as it is with the rear exit manifolds that are on it now.

This might be tight. Some measurements may help.

The Barr manifolds are about as low as you'll find for a center rise.

Try to get a measurement from your exhaust studs to your engine hatch.

Brian,

I did see those earlier . . but there is no riser suppplied and personally have never heard of the company.

Anyone else?

Note also the water fittings, looks like both the inlet and exit are on one end?? One would have to hope that the inside water jacket has baffles for proper circulation.

The Osco center rise fits fine that is what I had on my 302.
