About 2/3 of the way thru this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThhJipVJq_I) the kid does a toe-hold deep-water one-footed barefoot start...pretty amazing stuff!

Since posting, I found these:

Here is some barefoot jumping, (http://youtube.com/watch?v=IjtVFB2cLSg) set to some great music.

I also found this one, (http://youtube.com/watch?v=jX3__VF95bI) short and sweet...check out how the guy barefoots right back into the boat!

Holy crap...now I found this one, featuring a barefoot slalom event! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOV_KFPeqaE&mode=related&search=) You see how many times you can cross the wake in a set amount of time, and you get extra points for crossing the wake on one foot.

Awesome, when I was young and flexible I used to tey and play this kids game. He makes me look like I was a pre schooler at my best!
I love where kids have taken sports!

I've been footin' since I was 12...my buddy and I taught ourselves, that was a real trip (literally!). I've done it at least once a summer ever since, except for the summer I had toe surgery, and the summer I had shoulder surgery.

We did not have the luxury of barefoot booms and other high point towline angles...we always felt that was cheating and for wimps. We also did not have the tough and bouyant barefoot wetsuits, they really help with deepwater starts. No...we were old school, when we wanted to do tumbleturns or deepwater starts we would wear no vests, because they would rip out.

We were part of a local ski show for a while, and we had what was billed as the first ever double barefoot ramp act...that was pretty cool. Now the barefooters hit the ramp and then go "superman", with their feet trailing and their arms reaching towards the boat, then pulling out of it to land for extra distance. Hard to explain unless you see it, but very impressive to witness.
