Read all the test reports then go to the Spectro Oil site it beats the Harley twin and Mobele hands down, plus you can expect a hands or should say in engine report fro Gcarter he had very good results way better then Mobile. For full details PM Minxguy!

Which Spectro Oil do you like? The HeavyDutyGolden? That will work very well or the Spectro Golden 4 will also offer excellent protection. Just use the 20w50 viscosity and change every 25 or so hours.

After doing oil tests for Honda for 6 solid month and then they we redoing the test again because of some new entries into the market, nothing seems to have changed. Amsoil still is at the top of the list. Funny the Castrol says it is all new but works the same as before. Truth is I don't use synthetic on roller applications, we have seen too many skids due to missed shifts on auto and leaving the water on boats. However on my race bike, especially the air cooled one. the engine temps are reduced with Amsoil. So as a result I don't use synthetics on the Criterion. I just change oil at normal intervals. Oil is cheap maintainence. Even with synthetics filters should be changed.

Harley Davidson never reccommended a synthetic lubricant for the same reason........rollers sliding on the cams and causing damage, until they starting selling a synthetic lubricant. And I keep wondering, if a part is riding on a fluid flim of oil and not touchin another metal part, how does it wear?
