Well since this isnt my ad, but it is my post, what do you guys think of this boat. The owner obviously states it needs TLC. Is the asking price too high or inline with what these boats are fetching these days? I am not asking you to trash this guys boat, but a discussion about what us newbie's should look for or expect. What is the range in these situations, etc...?

More power to him if he can get his asking price, but I paid $12,500 for my '86 22C and it ran at 72 MPH and I didn't put a dollar into it the first summer I owned it.

it looks to me like it has a late model truck motor in it or it could be just the valve covers..see what prop is on it,if its under a 21 or a 23 pitch it probably has the 235hp truck motor in it..i wouldnt pay more then 7000.00 if thats the case..

Yep, maybe $7K max and it would have to be in my neck of the woods. Ofcourse $7K gets you a used 18C that's ready for the water...

The blood is running down my cheek, but I am complying with the terms of use, common courtesy, requirements of my fellow Donzi.net family when it comes to boats being for sale.
On to the bright side, this boat was obviously a trade in, or something that was acquired rather reasonably. It would be a great buy for someone at the right price (the blood is running down my cheek) If they had a 22 with a great motor, and outdrive, with a great interior, and everything else attached to the glass parts, and if the stringers on the one for sale were strong, and they ran their super condition well equipped boat into an overpass on the highway, this would be a great opportunity to pick up a replacement shell, if and for the right price.
Did I bite my tongue well enough guys? :cool!:

He has dropped his price from 14,900 to 12,900. I wonder what it will be before he lets it go.

Do tell. What was the final price he let it go for? We are all curious at what the market is on these in your area
