Hi all I am new here.
I have had three other boats and its time for the Donzi!
I did body work for 18 years restored lots of cars and painted several boats.
The last thing I restored was a WWII armored car M-8 or called Greyhound.
Its time for the boat before I get any older.
So I have bin Reading up and learning here and thought I would say tanks for the Info!

Welcome Tank!
The search feature here has a ton of info on all things Donzi.
Sometimes its more fun to ask. Like with gel or paint, foam or not, rollers or bunks, original or improve.
You'll see.
Good luck with your project.

HI Brian ,
I saw your potential interest in the St T somewhere else around here !
There's only a few St T's around here and I have one of them. In fact it was nearly identical to the one Brownie has for sale when I got it (20 years ago).
I am nearing the end of a 5 year complete restoration/re-build and wonder if the others had the same issues as mine did.
The St Tropez/Hornet hull is a shallower V than the other classics but it has the feel of a much larger boat , especially when you get it out in some blue water.
Keep us informed of your potential purchase !
good luck/Steve

Brian ,
Take my word , I have PLENTY to share on the St Tropez
Let me know if you go ahead and get it.
Do you know Brownie's involvement in these boats ?
AS far as posting pictures goes , I think that in the general/talk about anything section , it's all fair play.. Just as long as it's not political or religious !

Hi and thanks
Yes he was there back when men were men! Built them and drove them!
I think he knows his way around them!
Do I have it right?
My last good boat was faded beyond compounding so it was time for pant!
It looked better in the water.
My most resent restore IS MY M-8
something different I really must run Don’t know if you’ll her from me over this weekend I have a wedding to go to!
But would like to say THANKS

Heh heh ,
I think you just posted a picture of your avatar there !
Bet you don't see lots of them around huh ?
Looks like you're staying in the 'family' after the Forrmula ! They are great running boats too.
Yes , Brownie is 'the man' himself. There is probably no end to the stuff he knows and the stories he could tell.
Enjoy the wedding and keep us posted .
