I don't have too many chances to post in this section but I had the opportunity to do some ice fishing up in WI this week. It was just a bit different from bottom fishing for grouper in the Gulf of Mexico back home, lol. We only caught a few crappies but it was a good time out on the ice drinking a few cold ones with the guys.

I guess you don't need Koozies for the beer, huh?:boggled:

I think the coolers were for keeping the beer from getting too cold :boggled: I never did get one finished before a bit of it turned to slush.

We fished until 6:00 pm and the guides took us to a pub overlooking the lake. We were eating by 7:00. Good times.

We caught a few crappies and some walleye's that were too small to keep.

When I agreed to go ice fishing I assumed it it would be "Jack Lemon / Grumpy Old Men" style with the heated shack and all. But we were fishing 6 guys in about 14 holes so it would have to have been a big ass shack. The 20F temperatures were not bad until the wind kicked up making it feel like -2F.

The guides had a few larger walleye's from the day before that got fried up with the few crappies we caught.
