I'm so proud. My favorite part is that it is as retro as we could get it. It also is the prettiest boat in person I've ever seen.....Dad agrees as well. Happy looking! Nov 2003 to Feb 07, well worth the wait.

Both our rigs are painted by the guys at Skater Performance Cats, Saugatuck...

I'm serious..that red boat of Jason's is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Kudo's to Randy (Whalerman) Crum of Saugatuck. It is because of him that those boats look the way that they look.

Rootsy & Patti.
If your looking at this, can you alert Matty that Jason's boat is done? He was such a big help answering my questions while the restoration process was goin' on.. Hope he (and you) like it...Oh, and no more temperature jokes, Patti, I promise....

Wow! Set the way-back machine. Speechless - good thing I only have to type.

Which Solas did you end up using?

Holy crap...that boat is GORGEOUS!

From the outdrive to the shift knob, from the sight glass fuel guage to the Bilt Rite interior, from the decals to the exhaust tips, from the engine to the trailer...everything is stunning.

How cool would it be to have your boat, your dads, and Rootsy's red mistress all together at a mid-week Wampler's Lake gathering...now that would be a real photo op!

Jason, the boat is beautiful. I guess the seed doesn't fall far from the tree after all. I guess I will have to make another trip to Indy this year after all, if for no other reason to see your boats, and maybe take a ride or give one in mine. Randy is truly an artiest in all respects. I have enjoyed talking to all three of you and it isn't over yet. Your spare prop is coming.

Rootsy..Did you read my post to you on the 1st page of this thread?

On behalf of Jason and myself..Thank you all!!
To have guys like Donzigo. Eugene, Lenny, Grizz, and, heck, everyone dig the boat..That means a lot..They are the Donzi Authority!
Tony;
We are up for the mid-week gathering..I think you mentioned it a few months ago..Keep us informed.
By The Way..Randy was looking for props..testing, etc. Lenny hooked us up with Grizz..he immediately knew what to prop the rigs with..Sent us the Solas 23's.Boats run perfectly..Problem solved..Grizz is the Prop Guru..No doubt.

Jerry Eisele..Are you looking??

Great looking boat. In the early 1970's my older brother bought the sister boat - the Cobalt XV-200 (blue & white) which looks almost identical. What a sweet looking ride.
