We've been in 10-12 footers on a 50' sport fisher. That was no fun. When you're in the cockpit. look up and all you see is ocean...its a hair raising expereince. luckily we had an expereinced crew and Capt. and evertyhing was OK, just a very bumpy, stomach-churning ride home.:boggled:

Chit man, My Donzi bobs like a cork in comparison, big seas but a ship, looks smooth to me. They are hauling ass (running) don't get much smoother.

Sailing is da shiznet. Once we were caught in one of those micro storm deals 5 mi off Hillsboro Inlet surrounded by 7 spouts, North Broward. 20' footers and 85 knots made for a nice knockdown and having a jib sheet wraped around your shaft leaving you powerless with a 150 Jenny out, lol.

Glad & lucky to be in a blow boat
Sofa King lucky

So 'Poodles a blowboater; go figure.:boat:  . I was on a day cruise on a fijord by Prince William Sound and when we got to the open Gulf of Alaska it looked a lot like that video. Of course the cap called off the cruise. Funny thing is, they had an all you can eat buffet but with half the folks leaning over the rails I figure they saved a bundle on food $. This pic is the calm part. I didn't get pics of the rough.

Looking like the GOM for the first trip then possibly a project in the Indian ocean.... hello Bombay......:bonk: I think I'll need to get my hands on a small Donzi flag that can travel with me.....and get its photo taken
