Does anyone know who designed the GT-21? Actually put lines to paper?

I don't know for sure but I'm thinking it may have been Walt Walters. He also designed the F22 and Criterion.

And didn't Ed Cole design the 7 Meter?
A thread about some of that...

I have a 1974 GT-21 with the original bill of sale signed by John Chisholm. It drives on the left side which I read somewhere was a trademark of Wynne/Walters designed boats. Someone on this site must know who designed the GT-21. Maybe it is just a stretched Hornet.

I don't know, but that's what I thought.

My .02c. I agree with the W Walters guess, although I have an old catalog from about 1980 and it mentions Walters as the designer of the F-22 and Criterion but not the rest of the line-up. The Hornet has 2 more inches of beam than the GT21 so I would guess that it is a seperate design.

The GT 21 definitely is'nt a stretched Hornet hull.

Although I would'nt mind if it was ... I do like the GT 21 hull ... amongst other differences a much deeper V than the Hornet .
