Thread polished drives

I did the same to mine. Removed the old paint by bead-blasting and then polished to a satin finish with scotch-brite

Thanks but that wasn't the one. The one I'm looking for had the drive looking like chrome and it was a long thread.

Ok, so what does it take to get the out drive to a high gloss finish past that point. Would the treatment look good on a Bravo 1 if you could get it shiny and could you do it while the the lower unit was on the drive? Seems like a fun project, I wonder how mush time and effort is envolved.
