Hello, All

I looking to replace the stock corsa mufflers with either REX or Hardin tips or possibly someone elses , has anyone changed over to straight or cut tips with internal flaps. With corsa tips removed would reversion take place due to last of back pressure .Any advise would be helpful. Thanks Jeff

You don't specify your model/motor/year, but do consider Corsa slash tips. The holes will line up and they do improve the tunes. I went that route on my little boat and I'm very happy. They were $220 + ship.

Corsa "tips" or Corsa cans (muffled tips)? Their slash tips are a plug and play. WARNING: You'll need to be prepared for the fury of unmuffled biggie block. In other words, be sure you are not boating in an area where sound levels are checked/ticketed.

Zinger check Dana Marine's new tips, they come straight or angle cut, I just ordered a set for my 496 MAG HO 22 classic.

Not all tips are created equal. I bought a set of EMI's. They had a nice fit and finish. The internal flappers worked fine until I blew one of them out. I have a procharged 502 and thought that the problem was unique to higher hp blower motors. I learned that many folks blew out flappers with stock 502's.

I switched to Rex's with the Super Flapper. They are guaranteed not to blow out. When you look at them side-by-side against others you will see why.

I was very pleased with the nice sound of the unmuffled 502 when I switched away from the Corsa baffled tips. The Alabama Marine Police was not as pleased!

What is nice with the new Dana tips is if you blow out a flapper you can change them very easily you do not have to pull out the tip. Check this link out. Good luck:) :)
