One of my installers/service techs lost his house in the tornado. A neighbor of his supposedly shot this picture of the tornado. He says he recognizes the tower visible in the right of the pic.
Pretty impressive.......

That shot is unbelievable, the weather channel would love to see it I bet. Seeing photos like that make the snow and ice seem more manageable up here.

Actually, his neighbor isn't being honest :)
It's a picture from Lake Okechobee in Florida..taken in 1991...

Gotta love Snopes..always give them a check first before you believe anything :)

Plus, just the quality of the photo was a dead giveaway...newer digital cameras are much clearer :)

Jim same goes for me....
The only thing positive is that if someone had taken the real pic for the Lady Lake storm, it would probably been indistinguishable from the '91 picture.

I didn't think it was genuine, but not knowing for sure, I kept my doubts to myself. I thought I had seen this picture before.

A shot like that is worth about $50,000. As a good lightening shot is soooo hard to capture (trust me, try it sometime) If you can take a quality clear shot, you can sell for a lot.
