1971 Donzi GT21 GT-21 C-Hull Holman Moody 351 Volvo Penta
I have been the owner of this Lake Tahoe Boat for 15 years. It has been in storage for 12 of them in a warehouse in Emeryville, CA. Otherwise, it was originally bought by the Lyons family of Lake Tahoe in 1971 from Sierra Boat Company. My 71 is 100% Original all the way down to the Holman Moody 351 Marine racing engine of that time. The interior is in good shape, there is a few tears at the seams on the rear bench. The gauges are all original. The Volvo Outdrive was serviced before i took it out of the water in 96. The engine, I have no idea. It ran very strong when I last had it in the water. Always started on the first crank. I have been a member of the Donzi Registry for many years and still have my original 1994 22' Classic. Please call to discuss as I would like to sell or keep ?? - Thanks- Mike 510.541.9112

What does that mean, to discuss whether you want to sell it or not? How about a price?

Howard, there is another one in the same shape and same engine/drive combo available in the same general area. Holman Moody, Light blue. It is in northern Cali and is an original owner boat. Bill of sale etc. Bought it to take the kids waterskiing and all that. He wanted $15K for it. I couldn't spring for it at the time and no one else has either, yet... That was two years ago. Gives you a ball park figure anyways.

Mpanico, nice GT.

I'll give you a couple days to decide on a price. Without a price your post will be moved to another section of the board till you decide what you want to do with it.

Where is the boat now? Emeryville or Tahoe City? If it's in Emeryville, I'd like to meet to take a look at it and discuss further sometime in the next few days. I live near Sac, but work in Oakland, so Emeryville is litterally only a few minutes away. Heck, I'll be there later today!

You can email me or call my cell at 510-825-5056

BTW - that's not to say I wouldn't be interested if it were in Tahoe City, only that it would take more preperation to get up there to see it.
