Looking at some vacation property in Mexico. Anyone purchased there before? Any info on the laws/procedures would be greatly appreciated. :)

Having grown up in Texas, that's something I've always wondered about. The laws have changed over the years, so what I remember is ya can't own anything on the coast or some distance inland. I think the procedure is you engage an attorney to "own" it for you.......I've always thought that left you rather vulnerable.
You can own property inland, but I'd still get some assistance.

I have often wondered, "What is a Canadian?"

You are a citizen of Canada, but also a member of the Commonwealth.
And if Quebecois have their way, then they would be Citizens of Quebec, Citizens of Canada and members of the Commonwealth.

Its all very confusing.

Especially with the EU now. Can you guys freely move to New Zealand or the UK?

You cant own land in mexico unless your a native there...you can lease land for 30 yrs and thats about it....my brother and his wife have 1500 acres there and the only reason they own it is because his wife is mexican..
