I hate to start a new thread but when you live in CT and you get to launch your Donzi at the mouth of the river in January and blast around for a few hour with 6 other friends it seems like i should be able to start a ne thread.

The boat ran awesome. I just picked it up from Ocean Performance the put in new engine mounts, coupler, and lower unit.
anyway I had to brag about Boating in January

I hear ya! I used to live in CT and know how short the boating season could be. Which river?? I used to live in Stratford and launch from the Housatonic river.

We decided to take our bikes out instead......

I guess I'm just too lazy to re-winterize!!!!!!!!

Just copied this from "the Drudge Report";

FLASHBACK: NYC had record high of 68F on Jan 13, 1932. 70F on Jan 14, 1932 and 67F on Jan 15, 1932...

I guess they had El Ninos in the '30's also.
Anyway, it's nothing new.

Launched under I-95 on the CT River. It was so foggy in the morning We did not even venture out of sight of the bridge. After about 45 minutes it started to clear up and we went up to Hamburg cove and then stopped at the Griswald on the back south.

We made it to the mouth for a little while but it was rough with consistant 3 footers and that was a little much for 7 people in a 19 foot boat,..., even a Donzi.

Do any of you CT guys ever see Martha on the water in her 42 picnic?

Sounds like reason #1 to keep your boat at home in the driveway!

Hey there David ,,, How's it going ?
Have you got that St T propped correctly yet and what's it doing ?
My engine install is nearing completion and by some completely unexpected and welcome surprise , I don't have to extend the height of the engine box. So I can put all the glass and resins away and finish painting these last two pieces.
With the co-operation and kindness of MP I hope to start a thread soon on my resto story to date.
All the best/Steve

The water was a little thicker on Georgian Bay last week, don't think I'd want to subject the Donzi to this. Chilly but we still had fun.
Rob your place looked fine, we went up to Little Gibralter, not a lot of other boat traffic.
