Black Hawk ? ?

Can anyone tell me the various horse power options on Black Hawk's?

The standard power package from Merc with the BlackHawk was the 502MAG (415HP). I believe the Scarab P-29's came with a twin 350MAG (300HP)setup. Both of these motors had a slightly different computer map to allow for better shifting in and out of gear. The BlackHawk propellers are huge in diameter, the front prop is 16.5" and the rear is 15.5". When I had the drive on my boat, as you saw in 1000 Islands it ran really well with a 454MAG, but it would still stall ocassionally when shifting in and out of gear.

Seems like I read somewhere that the only engine MerCruiser approved for use with the BlackHawk drive was the 502 (415HP). Don't remember where I saw that though.

I beleive all the Donzi Black Hawh limitrd editions were 415HP 502 mags except fot one and that was Bryants ex-boat it had a 454.
