Thinking of making a offer on a 2003 22 classic with 90 hours, 496, freshwater boat ,no trailer , clean boat one owner They are asking $42000 which seems high when I looked around. I would like to make a reasonable offer and not insult the buyer

your thoughts .....

Thank you

Without seeing the boat, it's hard to determine what to offer. What the seller is listing it for and what he/she will accept may be far apart. You're on the right track, you have to look at other ads for similar boats to determine what the market is. It's your money, the worse that can happen is the offer is turned down. Just a thought.
Best of luck,
Rich

make sure you take a close look at the hull.some of the guys on the board here have 22s with 496cid and their hulls have major stress cracks in them..

The cracks mrfixxall is talking about are at the tail end of the inside strake (as well as the bilge). I wouldn't let the cracks deter you from a purchase as Donzi will cover the repair costs and will warranty the repairs.
