I just picked up a Chevy 454 for my SuperNova 19. It was a must for as heavy as the boat is. Now I am looking for ideas for when I rebuild it. I am on a budget but like I said I am going to rebuild it no matter what so what would you do with it? Cam, pistons.......???

You crack me up dude! Good luck. If you keep the volvo you will not gain any MPH over the built 360. Brownie told you 65 was the limit with that outdrive. I know you want speed bro, glass the transom and start lookin for a bravo.:) Not trying to be negative.

Have one sitting in the back half of the basement if needed. All I would need is a transom shield. A piece of cake to find.

Brownie told you 65 was the limit with that outdrive.
Never did tell you what I GPS'ed at.:frown:

Not only that but I like to cruise lots of miles and doing it at 3600 to 3800 rpm's is a little to much but what was needed to keep the boat right in the water. I should be know where near that this time. This time it will be a :superman:NOVA

There is a 377 Scorpion for sale on the boards. Might make a nice package for the supernova.

I am hip deep in this motor right now. Its completely tore down and I am figuring out what I need to get it back together right. Sorry I haven't got back for so long. It takes what little time I have for this web stuff just to update my little website. You want to follow along in this backyarders adventure click on the link below and hit "Motor Build II" in the side bar. :)
