I like the quietness of my 3 inch exhaust. I'm rebuilding my 454 ending up with maybe 450hp or so. Is the exhaust upgrade a must?

On a big block 3" will cost you a few ponies, depending on mods it could be a lot or not much! Run it with the 3" see if it suits you, you can always up it to 4" later. It took me about 3 hours to swap from 3 to 4 on my 22, pretty darn easy.

Is this 3 inch OD or ID a 3 inch ID works fine to over 700 hp. a 3 inch od is a 2 1/2 is ok to about 475 and won't cost too much except may have a little reversion.

I went from 3" to 4" when I put the Gil's on mine.
