This thing is going CHEAP, with no reserve. Somebody's getting a killer deal.

Anybody have any experience with Sidewinders? How are they?

Hey SurfGT, that looks like a fun boat. "Sidewinder Boats" and this Baja are not the same. I think Baja just called this model "Sidewinder".

The original Sidewinder Boats were first built in the late 1960's and continued for many years. I bought a 16' Tahiti OB in 1975 that was a copy of the original Sidewinder Super.

Here is a photo of my Tahiti 16'. I still have the hull, but the 200 Black Max I had on it bit the dust! So I bought a Donzi!

Oh, yeah I meant the Baja Sidewinder, if anyone here has owned one. I didn't realize there was a Sidewinder company.

Very cool Tahiti Barry, are you going to repower someday? Must've been pretty quick with the 200, eh? :D

Cute boat

Image how "classic" that styling will look in a few years...

:D Definitely not timeless, like an Aronow design. Looks like it should be a jet boat.

This one's pretty cool, with a procharged 350 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-baja-sidewinder-78mph_W0QQitemZ180047117315

Hey, yeah the Tahiti was a hand full with the 200. I was clocked with radar by a Police officer friend at 84 MPH. These boats have a hook in them similar to the Donzi 16, once you drive through the chine walking it was OK. I eventually installed a 9" back-set jack plate that made all the difference. Along with dual rack and pinion steering and hotfoot throttle with trim on the steering wheel
I may re-power again someday with less power, but there may be another "boat project" coming soon..... so stay tuned!

Here is the Tahiti at speed several years ago, when it was in its original green and silver metal-flake.
