Working away on my z25 restoration project and was thinking of modifying the engine hatch to make it a little bigger to get the motor in and out easier, right now the engine has to be totally naked and go in and out sideways with very little clearance. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Bryan

Will the engine come out with the trans on?

yes it can come out with the trans on. I just want to open it up a little bit to make it easier and the edges have been beat up over the years.

made a 496 out of the 454. Make sure you remove the belt driven accesories and the exhaust manifolds right away its easier to do that when the engine is still bolted down, its easier then alot easier than it is when the engine is swinging on a chain.
Thanks Bryan

If you don't mind sharing, I'd like to know the details of what you have done as I havn't made up my mind of which route to go yet. Do you have the TRS?
