As Larry the cable guy would say,

"Now that's funny !"

Didn't expect the ending.

The Triumphs are really tough. You can beat on the hull with a hammer and no damage. The hull is constructed from Roplene. I don't know the specifics on this but in lay terms it is like ABS plastic but tougher.

Not much of a shine to the material though

I think those boats are Eagles. All aluminum. Handles the occasional rock hit a bit better than glass.......and yep, they're nutz :eek!:

I guess thats why Gander Mountain rents them Triumphs on a daily bases, except the one I looked at was really beat all over including the prop was so badly bent that the blades we're backwards.
It had plenty of nasty gouges and bad rubs, like RedDog said I thought it was made from ABS because instead of having a gel-kote luster it looked more like a bar of dry Ivory soap very dull white, and the grooves in the gouges that was covered with black scuff marks looked like fuzzy swade or like the reverse side of "cow hide".Yuk!!:eek!: you couldn't wet sand that material like you could gel-kote.

I had no clue what this boat was made of at first other then realizing it was like ABS and I didn't like it as I thought to my self, "what a piece of s---t" :toiletpap.
I found myself looking back over my should shaking my head as I walked away from it almost stumbling into a parked car.:bonk: saying if thats what they're going to start making boats out of, i'm sticking with my 20yr old fiberglass!

Thats my .02
