I'm running a procharger on a 7.4 mpi. The stock exhaust tips have what appears to be a baffle inside should this be removed or tips changed to stop reversion?? Are the after market tips wide open on the inside. Maybe a dumb question. New to the I/O thing.

Change the tips unless uou have silent choice.

If you have the stock corsa tips, I hear that they are good to around 500hp. You are probably there now. Or higher. You can get some straight through replacement tips for approx $80 a piece.

Like Griz, I would not (and don't) use the stock baffled tips on a blower motor.

Can these baffles be removed from a stock motor setup as well? It's a 7.4MPI with Silent Choice on a 22zx. I would think that there are some performance advantages regardless of what motor you have. Are they there to keep from water reversion or something else?

With the stock exhaust there will be NO performance gains and reversion is not an issue. With silent choice, when open, the gas still has two avenues to escape, which is a lot more then the riser lets out. Don't destroy the tips, which will happen if taken apart.

The baffles are there to knock the sound level down a little.
