Cuda, sorry to see ya having to sell your Minx. Especially after all the work you've put into her. Wish had some extra cash laying around cause yours would be on my list of boats to check out along with Ken's and George's if they are still for sale.

Good luck in your sale and best wishes to you and your wife.

Has this boat been used in fresh or salt water? Is it fresh water cooled?

Thanks,

Jimmy

It's been used in both, but only in salt with the fresh water cooled engine.

Thanks for the info. A couple more questions:

What's it rated to carry? People & weight
What other engines were offered in this model if you happen to know?

Thanks,

Jimmy

I don't know the rating that this model is supposed to carry, but I'd say five is plenty.

Yes, there were different engines. This one originally had a 320/350 Efi, which was Mercs first entry into the world of fuel injection. It didn't work out well. I guessing 90% had the 350/260 hp, some with the 320 Efi, and I'm not sure but maybe some with the 350/300 hp Tempest, which was the exact same engine as the 320 Efi, other than it was carbureted. I don't think any were built with big blocks.

I was in it today, and there is no CG approved weight to carry anywhere on it. There is a CG plate that says it meets all the CG requirements. I also fired it up today, and it's running sweet. I'm going to 303 the interior while I've got it uncovered.

Couple of questions:
Does boat have bottom paint?
GPS top speed.

No bottom paint, it's the original blue gelcoat. I don't know the top speed, I haven't run it that hard with this engine in it yet. I was cleaning the interior today, wiping it all down with 303. Here's pictures from today.
