Scott,I had an Excalibur that looked like that, with a 7' beam. It was a little on the wild side over 60. That is a sweet boat!!!!!

Where do I get my professional speedboater's license? Is the test hard? Do I have to wear a Reggie toupee and a big gold chain? :bonk:

I believe a huge diver's wristwatch (3" face min, weight 5 lbs, must cost
almost as much as your boat) can be worn instead of the gold chain.

And don't forget the deep dark tan.

Isn't .080 over bore a bit much especially on a blown motor ??

1/2 throttle gets 90 MPH; so, does full throttle get say 125 MPH...........that would be fast, for sure.

Simple math tells me we are looking at 180mph full throttle.

1/2 throttle = 90 mph
1 throttle = 90 mph X 2
1 throttle = 180 mph

If it didn't hit 180, I would take it back for a refund.

D. rocker,
I guess this would be a place to start in getting your professional speed boat license, :bonk: I just happened to see it listed on pg#113 in the Dec. 06' issue of Powerboat magazine.

Do I get to drive the boat?
Answer: No, our liability insurance do not allow for student to drive at any time.

not my kind of school. :(

Dam I agree!
For $2,500.00 I just don't want a boat ride, and yet in the photo gallery it looks like Tres Martin is in the passenger seat and a student is driving?

So Now:
Let me see I buy a boat that I can't afford to run on my own, call it a floating school and have some one else pay for my fuel to run it, Hummm cool!

But once you got your license, you could buy the boat at the start of this thread! That's gotta be worth $2500, easy.

Hmmm. . . .

GEOO's boat had documented 1,000+ hp (small pulley), was only 18' long, had an Arneson surfacing drive system, and I don't think it cruised at 90 at half throttle.

This looks like a wicked boat, with lots of hi-perf goodies, but it has less power, is bigger, heavier, and more propulsion system in the water (drag), so it seems unlikely that it would out perform GEOO's X18.
