spacers on my 99zx outdrive

I had my 99zx (22') winterized a couple weeks ago,and my mechanic found that the outdrive had spacers installed apparently from the factory. He was going to do some research and i believe he talked with Donzi. From what i gathered last night at the bowling alley Donzi has a glich with the step hull and they want to hook up with the drive all the way down. I read about this earlier,and if i`m correct,they have a tendency to do that in a turn. Anybody else have these spacers on their outdrive...did you remove them...any changes in the way the boat handles? Bill....22zx

Billy id be glad to look at my 98 22zx just tell me where you found the spacer?

Sure...i`ll have to ask him exactly where they were. He never told me when i picked the boat up..i just found them inside the boat the next day. I was surprised he didnt see them last spring when we had the outdrive off. I could probably send you a photo of them if you want to give me an e-mail addy.
