Barrel Back Owners: Get Out Your Flashlights!

I just received a new entry for the Barrel Back database. The owner had posted a pic of the handwritten hull number under the deck. This time though, it wasn't behind the dash or under the deck, it was on the hull behind the bow eye!
So, if you haven't found a hull number for your boat yet, we have a new place for you to look. Hope you have a small kid handy!

If you do find your hull number, please let me know so we can fill in the blanks in the database.

The bow eye "chock block" was a sixties thing. I checked my 16 (65-67) a few years ago, but to no avail. They appear to be a small teak block, then glassed over, (and as we all know, teak does NOT glass well.) Epoxy yes, FRP, no.

Behind the dash was common in the lay-up, but then they would cut out the guage cluster and whatever else and scew the number legibility...
