well,

i am loving this prop. it provides enough bow lift that this thing just wants to come out of the water. it was just me, almost a full tank, light chop this time. i need more chop and i really think this thing will get moving!!!! i was at what looked like 5025-50 rpm's. loving life, i think cmi exhaust as well as the full hydraulic steering are going to be my off season projects. who knows might see 80 next spring.

its a mirage plus 27p that brett at bblades has tricked out. imo, it was a good investment to pickup almost 3 mph for under $1000 bucks is not a bad return.

and what prop is it?

Nice #'s. Hell, you're getting close to my speeds and I'm the one with the procharger. :boggled:

Note to self: Must find faster prop. :wink:

Chrome, haven't gps'd it yet at sea level. My guess is close to 85. Running a 27P Q4 that will just tag the rev limiter when I'm alone (@ 3.5psi). End of season now, but in the spring I'm going to get the ECU/ECM? reprogrammed and shop for a bigger prop. I'd like to try a 3blade. I agree, I should be close to 90.

BTW: I see you snagged Onesubdrvr's line. I LMAO when I read his post. :biggrin:

1990 Ford Explorer going down hill with a tail wind :rlol: :rlol: :rlol:. Sorry Doug it was to big of a target not to take a shot, you know I luv ya.

All kidding aside I was there when Doug recorded that number and yes it was on the water. After he made that run he came back to me and just shook his head..............it was a good day :yes:. At the risk of speaking for Doug he has some jazzed up 350 making 425 hp or more tied to an Alpha SS. I'm pretty sure he was running a Hydromotive Q4 that day not sure on the pitch / dia. I'm sure he can fill you in on the details.

Jamie we leave in the morning, wish you were going with us :wink:.

Hey all;
How do your boats handle up there? You have 22's, right?
My 18 gets pretty goofy after 72 or so (Scorp 377.)
My 16 is flailing at low 60's..
Do the 22's have a point to where they chinewalk too?

…might see 80 next spring.

All right I'm gonna have to come up there and play with you guys next year. Good job Steve.

Magicallbill, I think mine chine walks a little as it passes through 70, but it's hard to tell since it goes by pretty quick. I definitely don't have any major chine walking that I have to knock down.

Thanks;
I'd dig a ride in a 22 someday; Between the distance to travel and my unavailability on weekends, is sorta hard to work out.

Bill, come to cumberland next year and bring Jason, we can give him a ride in a 22 that he will surly remember. Nothing dangerous just rock solid fun.

I know this is gettin' away from the topic..
Grizz, if your kind invite is referring to AOTH, Scott Boldt is in the process of moving the event to Lake Of The Ozarks..Debris problems that I have experienced personally and have been aware of for years down there.
If it's not held at Cumberland, I would consider trying to arrange the time off from the band to make it. I'd love to meet you, Scott Boldt and all the fine people here.
Back to the topic,78 MPH is rockin'. Is that common for other 22's with that package?

I figure that 80 mph mark has Chromey boxing up his prop as we speak. :)
