I had these vents made due to the fact that my boat was missing one when restoring my Classic 18.
After trying unsuccessfully to find one, I decided to have it cast.
I had 5 sets made due to the economics and have sold three sets to members. Originally, I was going to use a set and keep a spare, but have now decided that I will sell the spare set.
The casting that was done was bronze investment casting not sand casts.
Edges and corners were cleaned up so that they are sharp and crisp.
This type of production is a difficult and costly to do. I will not be producing any more.
Cost for the final set (4 vents) is $565.00
Shipping is included.
Thanks.

Are they the same as on a 1982 22 C?

Joe,
These were the originals on my 1970 18 which I had reproduced.
I believe the 22 was started in 81 and am not too sure if they were using the cast pieces at that time.
Cigarette30 used them on his 22, but he had his boat rigged with my vents in mind.
They will cover the hose holes but I am positive about the screw holes for the vent itself.
I can draw a template of the vent and holes and fax it to you if you wish.

Joe have Eugene measure them to be sure, I was told that all the cast scoops were the same. Debbie is right they are some sweet and would look great on HER boat!!!
