For Sale,...

plenty of pictures http://southeastdonzi.net/Gallery1/OneSubDrvrs-X-18 here, each of the photos shown is a photo album, click it, and you'll open more photos, I've got them broken up into pictures of the drive, the structural stuff, the boat exterior, etc.

What you would get,

280T (yes, power tilt AND trim) - disassembled as I was cleaning / prepping for paint

Boat - needs stringer work, deck is good

Trailer - made the trip from Michigan to Florida with no problems, single axel.

Engine - well, here goes, the original engine in this boat was a Chris Craft LT-1 converted Vette' engine, rated 320 hp. Engine still comes with the boat, but has a cracked block. Engine was running when removed from the boat.

I have a 350mag mpi that I will sell with the boat for an extra 2k (DonCig's old engine, 170 hours, stock)

normal nicks / scratches on hull, but overall in pretty good shape for a 34 year old boat.

$4,000 with out the Mag MPI, $6k with

If you have any glass work experiance, this would be a good project.

Me, I've got my eyes on something else, so hope this goes quick

Boat is in Miami, old engine is in Miami, 280T drive is in Port St. Lucie, and 350 mag MPI engine is currently in Colorado, awaiting shipping instructions.

Thanks
Wayne

I agree 100%, just thinking that it's getting closer to winter, maybe someone is looking for a project.

Almost all the parts are there, needs the stringers repaired, then assembly, then it's ready to run - just cosmetics (guages don't match, some chips in the gel to repair, etc) of course, would need a paint job to look brand new, but I'd drive it for a year or so before painting it,....

If it doesn't sell for close to what I'm asking, I'm gonna have to keep it, just going to take me a long time to get it done, I was hoping to move into a smaller project, or pool the money for a ready to go boat over the winter.

When I got the boat, it was before we found out that my wife was pregnant, and since he's been born, I have found myself too busy with 5 to be able to do any work to it, especially with school back in, and I have yet to sell my old house (but I did JUST put it back on the market).

Anyway, thanks for the input

If the some one is interested in the boat only (and there is), I'd consider selling it (the 280t Drive) for $750.00 OBO plus shipping with the Ron Hill 23p Stainless prop. Complete drive (though apart for paint prep, some of the plastic bushing should be replaced), transome group, trip pump / etc. and "tech" manual. Otherwise I'd rather sell as a package, boat, drive, old engine, new engine / etc.

**please note, I had to edit this post, because it was apearantly confusing**

Brad Verd has this boat he is after, but I do not think he is selling it...as does KirbyV

'78 is the last year of documented X boats I believe.

Mine is not for sale either. Mine is #163, I think Brad's is #161. I did see a '79 listed on boat trader a while back but don't know what # it was. Last year there were a number of X's that changed hands (that's when I bought mine), but onesubdrvr's is the only one I've seen for sale in a while.

Since it is Sunday does that mean that the hull and drive are now sold?

Drive is sold,....

Hull is pending, I e-mailed the high offer and nothing back yet, but it's only been a day,....are you interested, it's not as far for you, he is in NY, but I will wait to hear back from him.

New engine is in same status, e-mailed high offer, and haven't heard back yet.

I suspect I'll hear back from everybody by the middle of the week.

Send me a note if you're interested, and I'll keep you in mind if the high offer doesn't e-mail me back by the end of the week

Thanks!
