I take the train a great deal. And I'm signed up for all the awards programs that Amtrak offers. I'll be getting some free trickets soon because of this participation. They send me email notifications once a month.

The funny part is that all these emails get routed to my junk folder automatically as spam. This is a typical analysis of an Amtrak email.

Nothing here is truly evil. Its a ligitimate business email.

What I find mildly amusing is that Amtrak is a big organization. It has thousands of employees and a huge budget.

Yet no one in this huge company has ever run their email's html through a spam filter to see if it gets flagged.

I mean, you would think that someone on their IT staff would have thought about this and tailored the emails to pass the filters. Its been this way for over three years.

Its just fun to think about this big company missing something so obvious.
