Hi all I owned this boat 30 years ago and it was the most fun I had with boat!
I think it’s a 17' 1969 champion speed boat.
It had a sb ford/Volvo Holmen moody set up and would do 60ish I think.
Has any one seen on like this?????
I was told at one time it was a pore mans Donzi?
I sold it and many boats later I am thinking I like this type the best.
Hope you enjoy the photo.

How do I add the photo?
I know this will work but we can do better.

Beny - Nice boat. I live on Lake Wylie in Charlotte, NC. Holman Moody was just a few miles away and they tested all their boats here. Back in the early '70's two friends each had a Champ with 302 HM/Volvo packages. One was carolina blue and the other was navy blue. I liked the camel hump hatch and the way the rear seat back followed the curve of the hump. The seating was the cocktail lounge configuration like the Donzi 16. These were great boats and very well built. Very Donzi like. I haven't seen one in a while.

Oh yeah - Both of my friends Champ's had factory windshields.

Tanks for the input.
I sold the boat locally and am trying to fiend it. If not I will some day go for the Donzi I always wanted?

PS The kid I sold it to removed the hump and fliped a set of headers up and out the back.
I must confes I never card for the hump.
The Donzi lines are much cleaner. Just my 2c
The boat was much fun!!!!
