My engine has finally arrived !! I am trying to figure out if the tbolt v ignition is going to work or if i can by pass the rev limiter . max horsepower according to the dyno is at 5500 rpm ...430 horse .... that's gonna hurt on the alpha ... glad i got a warranty on it !

Where did you get it from?

You may want to think about trying a Tbolt IV 20 degree pack, they are plentiful and reliable with less hassle and no limiter.

So what exactly is this fire breathing machine. Do you have stats for the lower part of the dyno curve I.E. below 5500 ?

yeah , it's going in my 16 ... I should have some numbers in a few weeks ... the motor goes in tomorrow and wednesday i am taking it out to start breaking it in . we are running it outside of the boat for 20 minutes and then do an oil change and install the engine , align , and hang the drive . hopefully the weather will stay nice for another week ! I'd hate to have to put on long sleeves !

I finally got it in the water and took it out for a run ! I had a mech. friend of mine go with me and he checked the temps on the manifolds riser therm. housing ...Everything checked good ... I did one run up to the limiter .... just to check the prop and all ... i need more than the 25 mirage ... maybe a labbed 27 ... i kinda pooped out on the top end... i may need more than the 600 edelbrock ... so i have some tweaking to do but i did break the 70 mph mark ! the extra torque makes the acceleration incredible !
