2000 Ford Expedition blowing OD fuse

The same fuse (#29) controls the autolamp module (automatic headlights) and the transmission overdrive control switch. I have replaced the fuse and it blew again. Any ideas? 2000 Eddie Bower Expedition with 4.6 v8, and 2 wheel drive.

Not sure about the overdrive fuse but keep an eye on the cruise control. When it goes out watch out it's about to burn down! Still peeling the melted crap off my driveway.

The first thing to do is to visually inspect the wire harnesses for a possible intermittent short from rubbing on the frame or burned to the exhaust, etc. Damn, Jray, I'd better get that cruise control recall done huh!

disconnect the small harness from the cruise/brake switch on the master cylinder and see what happens
