What grade oil and what model filter do you guys use?
I'm thinking about switching to synthetic...any thoughts?
What model # filter in the Fram lineup?
I'd like to switch to their top of the line filter but I'm coming up empty
as far as cross references go... Thanks!!!:ribbon:

I use 20-50 synthetic here in Florida. You may not need that high of a viscosity where you are.
Can't help you on the filter as I do something entirely different than your stock set up.

I recommend not using a Fram filter. I have heard of many problems with them. What I believe happens is that they collapse internally and severely restrict the oil flow. You may not be aware it's even happened because the bypass will continue to allow the oil to flow and the oil pressure may not be affected. In my engine, I full-flow the filter (no bypass). I had a Fram installed, because it was available at the moment, even though I was aware of the potential problem. I was doing a break-in on a new engine and was only going to run it a few hours before changing the oil. The Fram only lasted a little over an hour when my oil pressure suddenly dropped from 70 to 30 PSI. I slowed and immediatly returned to dock. I replaced the Fram with another brand and the oil pressure instantly returned to normal. I haven't had a recurrence of that incident and it has been three years. I also have not used a Fram. I have read similar stories about the Fram filters on OSO also.
