I am selling my 4 month old Lightning headers in order to finance a new set of Lightning headers that are arriving next week. The new ones are Blue in color and have a couple of additional features such as a few more welded on mounting tabs that these do not have.
Price -$1,499.00 plus shipping. Here is your chance to get a true hand made tubular set of headers at a price that you would normally pay for some of the cast aluminum products on the market.
Here are the details;
Small Block Chevy
Header height is the same as the standard Mercury maifold and risers that came on my 1997 300hp 350 Chevrolet engine.
These headers fit under my stock 1997 18 Classic hatch without touching.
The headers will not work with a Captains Choice exhaust since the headers have collectors that dump the water 5" further back into the exhaust pipes as compared to the stock Mercury headers. This extended water dump location was an engine safety decision due to the duration (230/236) of the camshaft that I was running.
I am runing the following camshaft:

The headers worked great and the sound is sweet and a little louder than the Mercury units. The power was exciting.
No issues with reversion in my 18' Classic with the cam listed below.
The headers have the original silver powdercoat on them and are in great shape. All gaskets and mounting hardware included. Professions packaging before shipment is included.
The tips and the headers were designed for a hole cutout that was the standard for Donzi SBC's at the time, my boat came with the Bravo 1 drive and the tips measure 24.25" c/l dimension. If you are curious if these will fit your engine, you can call Gene at Lightning (951) 678-5631 or call me at 303-478-2679.
Lightnings website is located at: http://www.boatheaders.com/
New, these cost $2,300.00 plus shipping as built. I will warranty them for 1 year to the buyer.
Thanks,
Don
