Fuel Gage problem

My Father has an issue with the fuel gauge on his Four Winns Sundowner, 4.3 / Cobra. When he shuts off the power the needle reads full instead of empty like it used to. What could cause this?

If it still registering when on You may have a gauge going bad or a loose connection. Fuel gauges can be a bit goofy & not right on, it may still be ok. If you are in doubt & it concerns you just replace it.. :) Jamie
