I started installing my CMI exhaust system on my 26ZX's 496 Mag H.O. tonight and thought I would share a few pic's. I will let everyone what gains I recieve form the system, I purchased the CMI's that fit the Corsa Quick & Quiet system.

Looke great!
My guess is, it will accelerate 20% better and you will get 2.5 MPH more on top end.

OK, I'll go with 2.1 mph increase. :) Looks great and nothing like showing off the pipes when you open the engine hatch.

Great topic, I have been interested since they came out, however they did not fit with the silent choice. Is it the angle of the pictures, or is there an alignment issue. Please give us an idea of the difficulty factor, and time frame. Of cource, there is less room in the 22', just have to find a small helper. Thanks again for sharing.

I just wanted to post the completed pics of my CMI Exhaust system, I tried to test drive the boat tonight and the Guardian system kicked in. I was not able to get before and after Speed #'s. I will be putting it on the computer on monday and will run the boat and give you guys some real #'s

Does CMI make a set that fits a 22C 496HO Q&Q Exhaust? I'm already looking for a big shoe horn.

Tested the boat tonight, qaurter tank of gas, 2 foot chop, 2 people, the boat ran a best of 65.9 at 4600 rpm, it gained about 2 solid mph, I need to find the right prop now.

BaldEagle,
Yes they make 2 different sets one is CMI's quick & quiet diverters with thier headers.. The other is way is the Corsa Q&Q compatable CMI headers.. I can get you either style.. Feel free to call me if you are interested... Jamie / Lakeside 570-639-2628

I did feel a difference in the power all across the board, but with this heavy tank of a boat its hard to notice that much of a change, on a 22 Classic it would be a drastic change. When I get the boat propped right I will let everyone know my results.

4600 rpm, revs too low, go down 2" in pitch or have you current prop seriously labbed to gain 3-400rpm for the best result, you'll get another mile or two with the labbing and getting the revs up to 5000.
