Looks like he was driving a Dodge Ram, and struck a guy on a Yamaha. :(

Trust me, it sucked more for the guy on the moped. I read he was passing in a no passing area, and they are waiting on a tox report.

I'm sorry, but no matter how nice of a guy he is, if he killed someone while breaking the law, I have no pitty for him.

If the news report is correct, I hope they lock him away for a long time.

It's really ludicrous that you can be pulled over and found guilty on the scene of dwi with a breathalizer BUT the blood-alcohol tests for this tragic accident will not be available for six to eight weeks! Whatsup with that??

I was thinking the same thing...you can get a DNA test quicker than that!

Either
They are waiting for it to blow over so he does not need to be charged with anything.
OR
They are stalling to build a stronger case against him.
Either way, I belive it is intentional for one reason or an other.

I would just like too add that this accident is tragic for the deceased and his family; and should not be about somebody that is near famous.
So, hopefully, the tox report schedule is in the interest of the victim and his family.

What probably happened is billy would not take a breathalizer but because there were injuries / death at the scene of the accident , he HAD to give blood . the FHP has the kits and the medics on scene do the draw on the spot . there are some cases where the drivers are transported to the hospital but they still HAVE to give blood . He was probably drunk and is delaying the inevitable .... hope I'm wrong , but obviously he refused a breathalizer .... wonder why ??????

Current law requires two blood tests I believe. The second one is 20 minutes after the first.

I SURE hope this does NOT apply to the pilots of Scooters driving around in Key West at the WORLDS... :(

That's all I have to say :D

you are right ... but ... it seems to me if you were drinking and killed somebody .... you might think twice before doing it again ... just my opinion ...

Seems he was pinched in June. Arrested by the North Carolina Highway Patrol and charged with drunken driving. Police say Lane was riding a motorcycle the wrong way on a two lane road without a helmet. Allegedly refused a breathalyzer test and was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 5. Ken
