Sure, Oregon Airboats bought out Chris-Craft back in '76.

The owner has stated via email that it is the correct HIN for the hull.

------You know Scott,,,I think you are on to something there. These boats were so far out in left feild as far as Chris-Craft construction methods were concerned Ill bet they were sub-contracted. Or possibly C-C bought a small "California style" boat co. and thier serial no. sequencing was kept. You can see some pure C-C pieces on the boat though. The forward rail ends on the deck are just one example.
------I called the owner as I saw a "Fino" in the backround of one of the auction pics. Down boys,,,,Its definetly not for sale, but it turned out that the owner was a guy I knew pretty well back when I lived in Chicago and we reminised for about an hour. Knowing his credentials I would be fairly secure in any amount of interest one might generate in his neat C-C. As a sidebar he also owns an original GT-40 Ford (not a GT,,,a GT-40). Seroius big buck car.........Bill S

Definetely a cool ass boat.

I don't know if this is relevant or not, but when we lived in Portland, Oregon back in 69 and 70. the independant televison station always billed itself as "A Chris Craft" station.

Did anyone notice the Maser Quatroporte in the background? Most are junk now as they suffer from the Italian steel swiss cheese disease, but back in the '80's they were pretty cool cars. Sold for about $65 K new.
