I've got a 454 Mag and I was wondering what the best carb for that motor might be???
I'm totally stock right now.
If you haven't done any other mods, I'd bet the stock carb would work the best. Merc has been building marine engines for a long, long time. Q-jet?
My preference even on a stock engine is a Holley or Barry grant with mechanical seconadries... If money is no object upgrade to fuel injection.. :) Jamie / Lakeside

Mine came with a Weber (also known as the Edelbrock AFB) carb from the factory.
Awfully hard to beat a Qjet in the long run.

750/850 mechanical sec. Barry Grant, hands down. Depends on the ponies as to size... I am VERY pleased with mine. It is a dream to work on.
