XK-18 on e-bay.
I am not crazy about the paint, but like the lines.

Eugene -
Were you able to find a buyer for your Magnum? I've always loved that boat, the resto looked top notch. If I didn't have my Spitfire, and had a bit more money ;), I would have happily traveled to the left coast for it. Very classy looking boat.

Ryan,
I should know this weekend if it is sold.
I have a contract on it, and the buyer is supposed to show up with a certified check tomorrow.
First person that actually came to look at it, wanted it, and not even a thought of haggling on price.:)

That's got to be a bittersweet feeling. I hope it goes to a good home. I spoke with Tom Casey, Sales Manager for Donzi in the early 70's, and he was telling me the 24' Donzi line was brought about as a way to compete with Magnum for that sector of the market. They commissioned Harry Shoell to design a sub 25' hull capable of handling the rough stuff like a 27' Magnum would. I can't tell you how close they came to their mark as I haven't had a chance to ride in a Magnum yet. However my Spitfire does seem to like the chop out in the Chesapeake Bay. Having twins is a nice bonus in the event of an engine failure too.

Are you planning on picking up another boat after you sell it?

And yet another was at a boat show in Texas this year.

I checked and the Canadian is correct if the boat is in the Mariner's Museum CC archives.

The HIN doesn't make sense, but its appearently true CC.

You'll note that the Canadian boat also has the original XK 19 clamshell vents.

Since Wynne designed the XK 19, I wonder who designed the XK 18?
