Alpha SS upper case for sale.
The parts you see on the cardboard are from a donor Alpha drive. These are used parts.
You may want to replace them with new parts, but they will work.
Now the good stuff. The Alpha SS uppercase is as far as I can tell never been run.
I bought it from a fellow board member, and I'm sure he will attest to this as well.
Also included is the verticle driveshaft (P/N 45-12618) that goes in the lower unit. You must use this in an Alpha SS.
The bronze shifter (P/N 12625) is not the same as a standard Alpha.
The bushing (P/N 23-81284), and the retaining ring (P/N12626).
I will also include a replacement water pump and housing.
I am including 2 wear pads that I made in my shop. They do not fit perfectly, but will fit with a bit of trimming. These are no longer available from Mercruiser.
The paint on the upper gear housing is not perfect, it has some scratches from being moved around, but is in otherwise excellent condition.
you can make a complete Alpha SS with these parts using a 2.5 Litre outboard CLE or sportmaster gearcase and guts. The vertical shaft will go right in without issue.
