Owner says the boat was originally a yellow hull with white stripe. I'm not familiar with early production Donzis. Were windshields an option?

Why does everyone put the wrong decals on restoration projects?

I think they were an option, but not that style.

Yeah, I also get a little bugged by incorrect decals.

Scott Boldt here at Grizzly's home - Personally, I'll stick up for the guy in using those decals. If he called Donzi like I did when I wanted new decals for my 1969 18' Classic, those are all they have available. I have since met Mr. Richard Weaver here on the boards and know that if I ever need original decals again, he is who I would talk to.

This man, like me probably just got what ever he could find. Beautiful, 18' Barrel back though.

Nice looking boat.

I hope the ski pole comes with it. LOL :bonk: :bonk:

Pretty nice looking boat, it should draw a decent price. The windshield looks like one from a late 18, will make a nice boat for someone.

decals are over rated...

I agree.:)

OK.OK.
I personally look at the decals the 1st thing..It says what it is and depending on the styling it gives you an approximation of the time period built.
In the big scheme of things it may not be that important.
I think it's the "icing on the cake"
Or the "period at the end of the sentence"so-to-speak.

yeah, like he said,

it's a nice touch to have the correct emblems , it gives a continuity to the era.
which leads me to ask in what order are the stickers on a '66 (USA / BRIT)

well I do agree that if you're going to put a tuna tower on your 2+3, original stickers are a waste

Usually I prefer no windshield, but for some reason, I like it on this one. Maybe it's the red...:lobster:
