Have a 1997 LXC 275 with 7.4 EFI Bravo one. Just bought the boat and am having prop problems. I had someone look at the prop and he said that previous owner put too large a prop on and to make it work (not hit outdrive), he cut off the tips of the prop. Can you say "Bubba". Anyway, have wrong prop on there and need to replace. Most sensible thing is to call Donzi and ask them what is the proper prop, however, for the life of me I can't find a dealer. Does anyone know of a Donzi parts dealer I can call. I ended up contacting a propeller shop and they said the correct prop is a 15.25 x 17 (4 blade) or 15.25 x 18 (3 blade). Does this seem reasonable? I want to get this right. Also, by far and away my biggest concern is fuel efficiency. Would I be better off with a 4 blade or 3?

See if you can find a local prop shop that will let you demo the props before purchase. That way you can experiment and find the one you like.
Email Availanche....he responded to your original thread...and find out what he's running. He has the same boat.

Did you get that bottom cleaned ? ?:embarasse
I'm not really sure if there would be a noticeable difference between the props in terms of gas economy if one was a 3 blade and one a 4 blade, the important thing for fuel economy is
a) engine in top tune
b) boat propped correctly
c) clean bottom (and prop)

Am getting a boat bottom done next week. Avalanche has a bravo 3 so I'm not sure if we're talking apples to apples. Let me know if I'm wrong.
