I am having trouble sourcing a couple head gaskets for my '67 vintage 390/285hp Interceptor. Fel-Pro doesn't make them. Suggestions?

fyi, I just ordered a set out of Egge Machine on the left coast. Seem to be pretty hard to find.

How did you know I have a '67 Ranchero?

No, its for the '67 Century Arabian. Long term project that should actually be finished next month. I sorta ended up with a lot of FE stuff. The Ranchero now has a 428CJ. Getting the teething problems worked out of it. I think I have to remount the hydraulic clutch pivot....and the 2.70:1 doesn't work too good. I wish I were a better/faster/cheaper mechanic.

And thanks MrFixAll.

Egge sent the wrong ROL gaskets. I called ROL this morning, and they don't have anything for the FE (Ford 390/427/etc).
Still looking...

Running fine. Pic from day 1. This past Saturday. Boat hasn't been in the water since...probably 1992.

okokok. Well, I'm not sure. Probably 50-55 is all I can hope for. Standard 285 horse Interceptor with the changes only amounting to a new Holley 750 marine, the Edelbrock Performer off the Ranchero, and a 3 angle valve job.

I don't have the tach working (I gotta find a wiring diagram for a Telex tach). And since I couldn't find the prop (disadvantage of long term projects!), I put on the next up pitch (standard for the 300horse 427 version - and it was a good deal $250 vs $675).

I'll let ya'll know when I know. It is a flat bottom. It's wood (ie relatively light compared to glass). And the motor is tight. But it is a V-drive. I'll be happy at 50.

Thanks for the kind words. Gary at Lenire Yacht Resto in Seabrook did a wonderful job.

Taking friends to lunch today on her...

Thanks Poodle. I think I am running a 14x15 RH cupped. It called for a 14x14 RH cupped. On a 1" shaft, I think. I don't have the tach hooked up yet, and also don't know if the Holley is opening up. It may very well be running ok. Feels good. Not sluggish at all.

time, a tach, and gps will tell.
