well , i heard back from the marina today .... i need a new long block !!! It seems that water was coming into every cylinder and one of the cylinders is a little to pitted to bore anymore as the engine is 40 over now . they recommended i put 3 inch spacers between the riser and manifold . all the exhaust ports are showing corrosion . anyway .... i can salvage everything except the short block and was thinking about getting a 383 long block . how would the alpha handle it in terms of torque . it's 350 horse and 420 torque ... any advise ? thanks ....
