Good project for someone. Too bad it came to that.
I need to do some work on mine plus I have a 1967 deck which still needs a hull if anyone has a cheepy.

originally a Volvo hull, filled transom, homemade splash well....

IOW, Donzi never made an OB in '65.....

A man emphatically informed me a few years ago that he had a Donzi Factory '65 '16 outboard. It makes sense that Donzi would at least make one as a test bed. Which this man said was the case. I had and have no reason to disbelieve him. He was not selling anything, just providing background info. The early Donzi history is based on rumor and hearsay for the most part. I put the '65 OB in the model list for that reason. This may or may not be that boat. If it isn't cut for an I/O, then rebuilt, you will have at least a partical answer. Its worth a look. Stranger things have cropped up.
Someone who was there, in '65, has to tell me that this absolutely didn't happen. Brownie would be the best authority on this.
