-------You can paint the word "DONZI" on anything!!! It may very well be a DONZI pop, but its not a DONZI. I have a hard time believing that Don A would pay good money to have this deck design done and then only build one,,,ONE!!! If any one else has ever seen another "real" DONZI with this deck design pipe up. I am ready to eat my words but very much doubt that Ill have to...........Bill S

Comon guys, the owner openly states that the hull material is "inflatable" and so he does... :)

Madpoodle; Allen King in Pefferlaw flipped the 16 and sold maybe 20.
There was a company in Ontario that was licenced to make Donzi's for a number of years(name eludes me)
I think there was one other guy who flipped the hull, but, modified the deck:wink: Now there looks like an east coaster did at least one flip....Ed

Interesting info posted in question/answer portion of Ebay ad:
"Q: Hi: I happen to own that boat from 1978 to 1997 19 years. I talk to the Donzi factory in about 1982 and they told me that the first Donzi that Aronow built was a 17 ft. outboard and that was white on the bottom and metalflake red on the deck. When I had this boat restored the deck was metalflake red. I believe this boat to be the first Donzi ever built and the production manager at Donzi agreed with me. He tried to get the company to buy it from me, but at the time there finances would not allow it. It's a great boat good luck with your auction.......Mike Keegan

I wonder where "Mike Keegan" buys all his crack. He must buy it with the proceeds from the sale of fraudulent Donzis. All the crap that this assbag spews flies completely opposite of anything I've ever read about D.A.'s work.
Here's my take. Keegan sold Adsett a fake Donzi. In order to prevent Adsett from coming back at him for fraud, he perpetuates a lie so the story seems plausible.
Other than the shape of the hull bottom, there is nothing about that boat that is consistent with a Donzi boat of the 60's.
The seller is a fraud, the previous seller is a fraud, the auction is a fraud.
I told the seller my suspiscions in an email. He never wrote back.
Sad thing is, another unknowing buyer will snag this and continue to promote falsehoods. Too bad.

Rootsy? I know you are busy with the Red Mistress project, but you seem to have a very high success rate at straightening out, umm, how shall I say it, "misguided" Donzi representations.

------Two things jump out at me.
------1. Red metalflake,,,,I dont think so....
------2. Nobody in the factory in 1982 was in any DONZI factory in 1963 because there wasnt one. Im almost posative that the 1982 factory wasnt even in Miami.
------What some people wont do to sell something. It simply amazes me...........Bill S

I've emailed the seller. He says I don't know Donzis, I'm just some kind of nut.
