The Thumpers are a very good product if you intend to stay stock, where they fall short is in their riser design. As they state: This entry level performance system is designed for stock engine application seeking a slight performance increase as well as weight reduction.

From what I have read the risers are to short to allow you to upgrade to a hotter cam, much more then a real mild grind and you will suffer from reversion.

I would keep an eye ont on Ebay for a set of headers, opinion try to get Stainless Marine, Gil or the like you will be better off in the long run.

I have EMI's with the long risers. Price was reasonable. Mrfixall (on this site) is a dist. for EMI and gives good prices too. Gained 150 - 200 rpm over stock exhaust.

Its going to be a real hot 350 maybe even a 383 stroker, when you say reversion Im guessing you mean when the water backsplashes eating the head right?

 :boat: I swapped out the old cast iron Chris Craft logs for the lightweight Stainless Marine on my 350 chvy. Also went up to 4". Sounds real sweet too.

Matty.............I tried to upload the avi video you took of the engine running. Do you still have it to put up? I can't figure out how to do it.

In other words make sure if your running too big of a cam the water can get sucked back into the exhaust ports and cause the water to go back into the engine..Just make sure the exhaust risers are ss (like tmdogs) and the water dumps out at the end of the riser tube..
